The finish on Corten steel is rough metal finish, rusted at factory level and will rust more over a period of time. Uneven textured finish. 

The corten steel is resilient to weathering elements and extremely resistant to atmospheric corrosion. Even better, this weathering steel design ages with grace as the surface oxidation builds over time. The patina will form as this process continues, and you’ll be left with a stunning, durable, long lasting fire pit. 

Variations in color and texture may occur from piece to piece due to manual production and within the product over a period of time. 

While the fire pit is operating, the outside surface may reach high temperatures. When using the fire pit, do not touch the rock, fire screen, or immediate surroundings, as these areas
become extremely hot and could cause burns.

Do not reach over your fire pit when hot or in use.
Do not store items of interest to children around or below the fire pit. 
Maintain sufficient distance as to not overheat any overhead combustible material
The area surrounding your fire pit should be kept clean and free from flammable liquids and other combustible materials such as mops, rags or brooms, as well as solvents, cleaning fluids, and gasoline.

The product must be used with care by capable and competent individuals under supervision, if necessary. The use of any equipment, including this one, involves the potential risk of injury. You accept and assume full responsibility for any and all injuries, damages (both economic and non-economic), and losses of any type, which may occur, and you fully and forever release and discharge Klay.ae, its insurers, employees, officers, directors, associates, and agents from any and all claims, demands, damages, rights of action, or causes of action, present or future, whether the same be known or unknown, anticipated, or unanticipated, resulting from or arising out of the use of said product. Buyer assumes all liability in use of the product. 

As this is a metal firepit made of corten steel with direct burning of firewood inside please ascertain the suitability of your hard surface in terms of weight of the firepit and the immense heat of the firepit on the floor. Sand, rock gravel, pebbles and interlock tiles are some safe surfaces. Hard casted concrete, ceramic tile, porcelain and natural stone can have rust marks or may crack due to the heat of some of our low base fire pits. All fire pits must be installed on noncombustible flooring in an outdoor location. This is not suitable to place on artificial grass as it can burn or melt. Incase of placing on natural grass, the heat can burn the grass. Please check the suitability of your hard surface beforehand to ascertain if your surface will be able to handle the heat based on the model of fire pit chosen.
